Claims may expire, but that does not mean your stuff is unsafe. It is still against the rules to raid your stuff even if it is in unclaimed area.

sadly not - but if you ask nice maybe other players on the server will help you get back on your feet and get new items :) I suggest looking into Ender IO there is an option to get soulbound which is a great thing when you die in other dimensions
