This is my first offense ever on Minecraft servers. It was a unique situation where my buddy and I found the chest and he dared me to take it. I screwed up.

Having discussed this ban and appeal with other staff, we have chosen to deny your appeal.

1 - our policy is often to not accept appeals for temporary punishments. In this case, your ban will expire in 5 days.

2 - the chest was explicitly labeled to the effect of, “Do not steal from this, or staff will ban you for doing so.” I honestly don’t know any different outcome one would expect as a result of stealing from it. Whether something is labeled with a very obvious “no touching” sign or not, stealing is a violation our rules.
