From what I can see, your chat was getting inappropriate and spammy. Someone on console said to stop, and you joked about it rather than stopping and continued to push your luck in that situation. The ban reason is more accurately "inappropriate chat" than "talking in chat," but my inclination is to defer to the decision of the staff member who muted you.
