Theft Question

I joined the server a few days ago after almost a year away from the game because I missed the fun of being on a server and having the interaction of other players I can chat and trade with. I played on the LukeyCraft server with my brother for a long time and we spent a lot of time building up our base. We stopped player after the server was shut down because someone found a glitch in the game and went around to all the players and stole their ME drive with all the supplies that were stored on the drives. So many people complained that the owner just shut the server down.

My question is, has this ever happened on the RR3 server ? I really love this game and want to learn how get my own server up and running so I can have a few friends and family get on it. I don't want to spend months building and creating just to have it all taken away in an instance. The short time that I have played on the RR3 server has been great. All the people I have met were very helpful with explaining how the commands work, since I am a bit rusty, to helping a new player get a small base up and running very quickly.

When a player find a glitch to do stuff like that or to dupe items, it is a must to tell staff about it. Staff will do what is needed, That can be banning the item or fixing the item. If you get items stolen you report in http://kookykraftmc.net/index.php?forums/griefsupp/ and the person would be banned. Items that are not obtained from real life money (as donor), usually do not get refunded, but if you look at for example http://kookykraftmc.net/index.php?threads/martinext-rmatteo-ban-report.911/ it is not unlikely for the admin to return the items. So the scenario you mentioned; I would like to hope the exploit you speak of has been taken care of, so noone could steal all the drives from players on our servers, but if it should happen, it is unlikely people would get refunds. I have only seen servers getting reset/shut down due to 3 reasons: 1) no players on that modpack anymore, 2) the modpack was so bugged and corrupted it was not able to run like ATM or servers like CC that run for a very long time accumulate some bugs and become very laggy, they had a vote and was reset recently. Lastely let me bid you and your brother welcome I suggest if you play and enjoy to apply for staff later that would be a great way to learn about setting up a server - but we do not offer potential "competitors" advice on how to set up servers

Thanks for the info. I am willing to put in my time and try to learn a little as I go. I am currently trying to find a fix of how my name got changed and I can no longer log into my MC account. When I try to log in, it says invalid username/password. My game name is MichaelD, but it got changed to Rifletakeout. Is there anyone that can check to see if MichaelD is still a valid name on the server ? If I can't get the issue fixed with Mojang and I end up making a new account, will I be able to get my base back that I have been working on?

I think the issue with my name being changed has to be fixed by Mojang. Even when I log into my RR3 single player world it shows the wrong name.
