Ban Reason
I bypassed PvP restrictions, convincing people to teleport to me, then pouring lava on them to kill them.

Who Banned You?
NarwahlsRock

Did you learn anything from this?
I learned to be more respectful of the server's boundaries and rules—they're clearly there for a reason. In addition, I learned that the next time someone is potentially breaking rules, I should report them to a mod or admin, rather than taking matters into my own hands.

What would you do next time instead?
As stated above, instead of taking action myself, I would message an active mod on discord to let them know about the rule-breaker's actions, and ask them to look into it.

Is there anything you would like to add or tell us?
I've been playing on the server for about a month now, and so far, I've had a really enjoyable experience. I'd hate to lose all of that just because of one irresponsible action. To the people I killed: I'm sorry for killing you—I know I shouldn't have done so, but I was in a rather foul mood from my chemistry test yesterday. That being said, I know I shouldn't make excuses for my actions, since after all, I was the one who killed you. I'm really sorry, and I would really like to rejoin the server. Mods/Admins: thanks for reading this.

I’m going to have to check with Narwahls on this, but I’m personally a bit hesitant from some of the things I saw in the Discord up to 10 minutes before this appeal was posted.

“Honestly I don’t think I can say that i’ve learned a lesson”.

“I get that I’m supposed to tell you if something else happens but nothing else really”.

“I do feel wrongly punished but I see why you think it was justified”.

Your views might have really shifted since then, but those comments do cast some doubt on this case from what I see.

Sorry, but I'm a bit confused. Isn't telling a mod the lesson that you wanted me to learn? And quick fyi, after some thought and some sleep, my views have shifted considerably. Were this to happen again, I would immediately go tell a mod, rather than killing a player, since it only results in a bad player experience for both them and myself. In addition, it inconveniences all the people who have to deal with these punishment appeals, so it basically is just a hassle for everyone. Please let me know what Narwhals says and what the other mods' opinions are, and I will stop arguing if they agree that I should be banned.

Thanks!

After reading your follow-up post and talking with Narwahls, we have agreed to accept your appeal. The precedent we tend to follow is that 3-day bans reduce to 1-day, which we believe you've already served. I will be logging in shortly to unban you.

Please do know that the penalty for repeat offenses is a permanent ban. With that being said, you now know the proper channels to handle issues with other players, so I don't foresee this being an issue again :).
