Yes, I have learned that the rules clearly state there is no griefng of any kind. In addition, the respect of other's property is something that I would like to uphold.

I was, at the time, unclear about the rules of the server and did not think that unclaimed land was not able to be raided. I am deeply sorry that this affected a person that regularly gets on. I have had no interactions with them or knew that they would miss what was taken. If I had known that the items I was claiming were of someone who is an active player there is no circumstance in which I would have griefed. Therefore, if the player who claimed they had been griefed is in communication with the admins afterward, I would appreciate it if you could pass on my apology or direct me to them so that I may do this myself. Thank you.
